TY24 Fast Fermenting Turbo Yeast TY24 is an active dried alcohol yeast combined with a complete nutrient complex, designed to ferment up to 14% ABV in 24 hours. This is an extremely vigorous distiller’s strain suitable for fermenting any sugar substrate, from pure sucrose or glucose to enzymatically-converted starch as well as other fermentable sugar sources such as molasses, thick sugar juice etc. The wash produced from fermentation using TY24 would normally be distilled for use as 96% potable ethanol, or spirit alcohol for making alcoholic beverages. TY48® High Alcohol Turbo Yeast TY48® is an active dried alcohol yeast combined with a complete nutrient complex, designed to ferment up to 14% ABV in 48 hours. It can also be used for fermenting up to 20% ABV in around 4 to 5 days. This is a highly ethanol tolerant distiller’s strain intended to ferment glucose or dextrose, but can be used to ferment any other fermentable sugar-based feedstock such as enzymatically-converted starch, molasses, thick sugar juice etc. Wash produced using TY48® can be distilled, for use as 96% potable ethanol or spirit for making alcoholic beverages. The 20% fermented alcohol can also be used as a base for making RTD alcoholic beverages with ABVs below 20%. Temperature Tolerant Batch Turbo Yeast TT Turbo Yeast is an active dried alcohol yeast combined with a complete nutrient complex, designed to ferment in warm conditions, where fermentation is carried out with no cooling or inadequate cooling. A highly temperature tolerant yeast strain, this Turbo Yeast is ideal for fermentation of any fermentable sugar-based feedstock. TT Turbo Yeast can withstand extreme stress factors such as temperature, ethanol, and high osmotic pressure. This ensures reliability of fermentation even under variable process conditions. TT Turbo Yeast can ferment up to 14% ABV at 38°C liquid temperature, but also reach up to 18% ABV at cooler temperatures. Wash produced using TT Turbo Yeast would normally be distilled for use as 96% potable ethanol, or spirit alcohol for making alcoholic beverages. High Purity Turbo Yeast High Purity Turbo Yeast is an active dried alcohol yeast combined with a complete nutrient complex, designed to produce super clean spirit alcohol from fermentation up to 15% ABV. This is a specialist, low congener yeast strain which confers minimal fusel oils or other flavour-causing fermentation by-products. This Turbo Yeast can be used to ferment any fermentable sugar-based feedstock, but works best when using refined sugar substrates such as sucrose, glucose or enzymatically-converted grain. High Purity Turbo Yeast is recommend for use when producing alcohol for making clean-tasting spirits such as vodka and gin, particularly when high-tech distillation equipment is not being used.
TY96 Vodka Turbo Yeast This specialist active dried vodka distiller’s yeast is blended with a complete nutrient complex which can be used to ferment refined sugars such as sucrose or glucose up to 14% ABV, although best results are achieved when using wheat grain or potatoes. The distiller’s strain selected for this Turbo Yeast is a unique ’low congener’ strain for fermentation of high purity spirit, producing an optimally ‘clean’ congener profile for vodka spirit. An added benefit is an excellent sugar to ethanol conversion which maximises yield.
Rum Turbo Yeast This specialist active dried rum distiller’s yeast is blended with a complete nutrient complex which can be used to ferment refined sugars such as sucrose or glucose up to 15% ABV, although best results are achieved using molasses or sugar cane juice. The distiller’s strain selected for this Turbo Yeast produces an optimum congener profile for rum spirit and is highly viable and robust. The inclusion of all essential nutrition for yeast fermentation requirements ensures optimum spirit alcohol quality through stress-free fermentation.
Whisky Turbo Yeast This specialist active dried whisky distiller’s yeast is blended with a complete nutrient complex which can be used to ferment refined sugars such as sucrose or glucose up to 15% ABV. Although best results are achieved using grains, malt grains or malt extracts. The distiller’s yeast strain selected for the Whisky Turbo Yeast produces an optimum congener profile for whisky spirit and is highly viable and robust. The inclusion of all essential nutrition for yeast fermentation requirements ensures optimum spirit alcohol quality through stress-free fermentation.
Fruit Turbo Yeast A Turbo Yeast based on a wine strain, designed for use with fruit for making fruit schnapps or brandies. Fruit Turbo Yeast contains a complete nutrient complex to ensure reliable and complete fermentation, regardless of the nutritional content of the fruit. The active dried wine yeast strain in this Turbo Yeast is ethanol tolerant up to 18% ABV and is capable of fermenting across the wide temperature range of 10—35OC (note that ethanol tolerance is reduced at high temperatures). This strain is also tolerant to difficult fermentation conditions, has high SO2 tolerance, produces low volatile acidity and is low foaming.
TY67 Gin Turbo Yeast TY67 Gin Turbo Yeast combines an active dried wine yeast with a robust nutrient profile that maintains yeast health; ensuring consistent, fast fermentations with low odour and zero off flavours. Specifically formulated to produce Gin, the resultant alcohol is a super-clean, high purity, neutral base ideal for distillation and a broad range of Gin botanical & flavouring applications.
